June is Wound Care Awareness Month!
Associates in Vascular Care is committed improving the lives of our Central New Jersey Community. Together with ABWM (American Board of Wound Management) we would like to bring awareness to the support and care we have available for those who are affected by chronic wounds.
Associates in Vascular Care and the ABWM Foundation are Celebrating the Fourth Year of WHAM!
Middletown, NJ – The ABWM Foundation named June as Wound Healing Awareness Month (WHAM) in 2016, Associates in Vascular Care are excited that this will be the fourth year of the wound care community celebrating this month. The purpose of this naming June as Wound Healing Awareness Month was to recognize the challenges experienced by individuals whose lives are affected daily by chronic wounds, and to bring awareness to the public of the support given by certified wound specialists.
Chairman of the Board of Trustees for the ABWM Foundation, Joseph McCulloch, PT, PhD, FAPTA, CWS®, stated, “The ABWM Foundation Board of Trustees is excited that Wound Healing Awareness Month is in its fourth year. We are thankful to the organizations that are partnering with us to help raise awareness in this important issue.”

Certified Wound Specialist week for 2020 will be June 17 – 21, 2020. During the week of June 17 – June 21, 2020, the ABWM Foundation acknowledges and celebrates all practitioners certified by the American Board of Wound Management which includes Certified Wound Care Associates®, Certified Wound Specialists®, and Certified Wound Specialist Physicians®.
